Introduction to Stained Glass

Weekend Workshop

Cost:  $225.00    (14 Hours instruction).

Supplies:  Included in Class Fee:

• 60/40 Solder

• 7/32 Copper foil

• Flux and Brush

• Patina

• Assortment of Glass for project

Bring to Class:

• Scissors for cutting patterns

• Plastic eye goggles if your not wearing glasses

Instructor will supply all tools; students will be able to purchase tools and supplies at end of session if they choose.

BEGINNERS COURSE:

Students will be taught all aspects of stained glass utilizing the copper foil technique. There are pre-selected patterns from which to choose, based on a beginners skill level. Patterns range in size from: 9" x 9", to 9" x 16". Various themes are depicted. Course fee also includes:

• Instructional information sheets

• Explanation of tools and their uses

• Explanation of various glasses and how to use them

• Hands on demonstration of glass cutting

• Making of templates for patterns

• Cutting, grinding, fitting glass pieces to build your project

• Copper foiling application

• Soldering skills for smooth seams

• How to clean and finish your project

Wear comfortable shoes and bring a Lunch.
